Awards, Honors, and Scholarships

We provide funding to help our majors and minors study abroad and conduct research. German Studies Undergraduate Research Awards ($1000) are given to German Studies majors and minors pursuing original research or creative projects under the general guidance of a KU faculty member or another approved mentor. The department is also able to provide some financial support for German Studies majors and minors who participate in our Summer Language Institutes in Eutin and Holzkirchen.

Details concerning the application procedure and deadlines will be announced by the Director of Undergraduate Studies and in your German Studies classes.

We also recognize the achievements of our graduating seniors. You will find additional information under Senior Awards, Delta Phi Alpha National German Honor Society, and Recognition Ceremony.
